Spicy! Delicious! Ordered takeaway during lockdown. Really liked the spicy soup with pork wantons. Also ordered the signature beef braised noodle soup which also had tasty Szechuan flavours. The texture of the thin noodles is also very enjoyable. Pleasant customer service.

The soupless noodles with beef brisket is very yummy, although without the soup it tasted a bit more salty than usual. The pork rib clay pot managed to stay hot the entire time eating it and was delicious. I rate highly both dishes and would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Yours truly @fooderarri

I used to order from this place, and last year I tried their pea and beef dish. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment — the beef was actually spoiled and had a sour, off taste, and the rice was poorly cooked, still half-raw like it … More

Great food and exceptional service. Not sure if the noodles are handmade but they're friggin' nice! Prices a little high but still satisfied.

Great little restaurant on the corner. The food was piping hot and delicious. It wasn't as spicy as I expected, but the aroma of the chilli oil in the chicken cold dish was beautiful. Good portion size and friendly staff. I would definitely go again. Thank you!

Great food! The saliva chicken and noodles were good. The soy milk pudding is good as well. They do have good vegetarian options, just not on Sundays! But you can still can vege soup noodles, just less variety

I've been reviewing ramens around Canberra. For $15.50, this is great value as most ramens start around $23. I ordered the beef noodle soup and it comes with a large serving of beef. Soup was very nice tasting. The noodles, while … More

Ordered the beef soup. I live like 100 metres away and in that time the soup incomprehensibly spilled everywhere in the bag. I walked at a normal pace, and look. The dish itself was mediocre. I ordered it extra spicy, did not find it spicy. The meat was hard and the fat/sinews chewy. Was a pretty bad dish overall More

Worst meal of our lives. Had the fish tofu noodles and mapo tofu.
Noodles was extremely soggy, beansprouts as well - how?; soup had zero flavour and dish was abundant in fish bones.
Mapo tofu was lethal - tofu literally dunk in chili oil alone.
We shared our feedback with the chef to only be questioned about our frequency patronizing the restaurant. We ourselves are Asian and chinese, and these are very common simple dishes to make. Chef says it is meant to be soggy as that is their style.
Counter service is good, restaurant is clean.

Did some research on where we could find some nice laksa in civic, and Bashan came up.
We ordered a chicken kung pao rice set, chicken laksa, and a can of solo. The serving size was very large for the laksa, and it was delicious. There were a few customers in the restaurant, and we did not wait for too long.
The only suggestion would be to have the window blinds on runners, as every time someone opened the door (on a windy day), it was like a cyclone inside. The food and service was amazing and we will be back again 😀 Thank you team

Located in a quiet courtyard, just behind London circuit, Bashan offers a blend of Asian flavours with good flavours and freshness. The servings are of good size that will keep you satisfied. So note that the chilli hear content is accurate and 1 chilli is mild heat and 5 chilli's is super hot. Staff will also cook dishes to specific requirements with happiness.
Service is friendly and courteous.
There is water and cups available.
Note that if you pay with cash, there is a discount.

Lovely sichuan style noodle shop in the heart of Canberra.
The beef noodle soup is fantastic. Dry noodles are also very good. Dumplings are also good, although the karaage and pancake was average. Interior is nice, and service is quick. Perfect for lunch and for solo diners, but I managed to get a group of five in for dinner (and everyone enjoyed it!)
A different time I tried the pickled vegetable noodle soup, which was also excellent.

Great little Chinese place. The main event seems to be delicious noodle soups, but the menu is fairly broad for those looking for something different. Seems to be popular with the local Chinese student crowd. Had an absolutely delicious braised beef noodle soup. It was packed with flavour, a mountain of perfectly textured wheat noodles (you choose wheat or rice) tender braised beef and some greens. So much food, had to get a take away container to take the last of it home with me. We will be back to try more of the menu.

I forgot what I ordered because this was from many months ago. I do remember it being a little underwhelming, but still decent. This was likely the tender beef dish with tofu and a side of rice noodles. I remember it being around $30 and I think the noodles was extra, which should have been included.
